With someone saying they saw a citreon xara picasso with a car bra on so does that make is Euro! ..................
Well they are french, and believe it or not, france is in Europe, so it must be classed as "Euro" Right???? or wrong?
In other words, What is classed as "Euro"?

Euro is the car being very smooth, low, and wide. Small, wide wheels with streched tyres are euro, and basically anything that can be smoothed is done to get it "euro".
German plates etc are considered to be euro.

What makes SMOOTHED "Euro" though?
I see what you mean, but a vauxhall corsa is "euro" anyway, because it is made in europe. Surely it should be called something else? lol

Because 'Euro' in the UK, is not the same as 'Euro' on the mainland.
Some of the people on here from France/Holland/Belgium have posted pictures of cars on the European scene, and it's not anything like the look we call 'Euro'.

So surely we should be calling the look that we have over here "UK", Unless it looks like cars from ober in the mainland European scene?

Oh, and if you're from America, it means using parts for your car which were standard in Europe but not the states, so again, another definition.

Basically, this is proper Euro

This is the UK idea of Euro

2 different things. BUT, the Europeans are looking at us to see how to do it now, apparently.

Nah, it's a VERY rare G60 with a VERY rare Syncro drivetrain with 3 (VERY rare) doors in a VERY rare colour.
The R32 one is black, but looks almost exactly the same

'Euro' is a word used to describe how the majoity of the modified cars are styled in countries like Belguim, Germany, and France (plus others).
Just because we are in Europe has no association to the term having a 'Euro' styled car. The people in this country that call there car 'Euro' are people trying to replicate the look of our European friends.
Sadly due to the modifying scene in the UK going a little stale over the last year or two, many people do the basics of lowering, slightly stretch tyres and some smoothing of the bodywork (not many go this far though). Add to that a car bra and they think their car is 'Euro' styled.
To be honest 99% of these people dont get it right at all. These days 'Euro' styled cars is seen as a cheap way to modify, due to the small amount of mods. The problem is that the 'Euro' style over the water has evolved so much now that it actually costs a hell of lot of money now to pull of the look. With expensive wheels, lots of smoothing, re-fabricating of bodywork, airbags, and one of interiors it means that it’s a costly to do that as it would be to build a good old fashioned UK car.
IMHO the UK should have been proud in what its achieved with its own style, yes it went a little crazy but at that time the Europeans did look to us and take note. The ‘Euro’ style was always small rims no bigger than 16’’ wheels, but that has now changed to larger rims like 18’s and 19’s (however they are putting Bentley 19’s on TT’s these days, and maybach rims on Golfs!). The same applies for the ICE installs, this is something the Europeans never really got into like we did, yet more and more cars are now coming from Germany, France, Belgium etc with big full interior builds like we used to build, although they are of course doing it with more skill and buckets load more style!
So what is the ‘Euro’ style:
Any car can be modified to have the ‘Euro’ style, it doesn’t have to be made in Europe. It does need to be very low, proper stretched tyres, attention to all details on the car, one off wheels, some times a wider stance, lots of smoothed or ‘cleaned’ bodywork removing handles and lines from the car and one off paint.
Lots of ‘Euro’ cars especially VW’s (where the look has excelled over the years) look as though there is hardly any mods or money spent but when you compare them to a standard car you soon realise how much time and effort has gone into some of these cars.
Sorry for the essay
