I got a new Simcard for PAYG, topped up £10 to activate it, but I'm guessing its a dual-band sim (900/1800) as it just sits there saying 'searching...' when I insert it into the radio in my car
If I ring O2, can I request they send me another SIM card which is specifically GSM900 so it will work?? Or are they all dual-band now??
I don't want to have wasted £10 on something I can't otherwise use...
I'm plugging it into a Phillips CCRT 700.

The bands simply mean what countries you can use it in, they are all a minimum of dual band now if not tri band.
If it says searching then switch off the phone or wait for a couple of hours. If just activated it can take up to 24 hours to be activated fully on the network. If not ring 02 customer services and ask them what is happening.

Cheers Allan
Ended up being a combination of 3 things...
Phone aerial wasn't plugged in on the back of the radio.
Crap Signal on the drive
O2 took there lazy-ass time to activate the sim...
Works a treat now though
