what about piper ultimate road cams, not reccomended with standard injection but with re map would be good.
they are 264 degrees, with 395 lift.
they say it works with power band 2000 - 7000 which is better than the newmans that only work to 5750.
they say they give 14bhp increase? is this good/true??

I bet you are.
My 1.6 was running 132BHP (measured on shitty rollers btw) with a similar spec to yours, apart from milder cams, no boost valve and no re-map.
Should make some good power with decent cams.

budget about £450+ for a remap.
get cams that are made from blanks and vernier pulleys, dont bother with reprofiled cams.
