Finding it impossible to find any black door cards, so im going to re-trim mine.
Will this material be any good?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dance-Costume-Stretch-Nylon-Elastam-Lycra_W0QQitemZ200152721151QQihZ010QQcategoryZ71213QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
And this adhesive?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SPRAY-ADHESIVE-for-carpet-underlay-fabric-etc_W0QQitemZ160157683198QQihZ006QQcategoryZ101435QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Whats best, just stick the new fabric on top of the current ones, or fiddle with them first, ie, strip of the material on them?
Also, I was going to staple the material on at the back, along the edges. Will this be ok?
Cheers

As long as the material is a bit stretchy and you take a lot of time on it, you should be fine.

Ebay, but it would be better to go to a fabric shop, get a better idea of what the fabric is like.
I hope to fuck this stuff is good, 5 metres cost me £17 delivered

Doesnt need to be stetched, just flexable so it moulds into all the curves etc, the faux leather might not be.
Och, we'll see when I get all the material, only doing 1 door card, if it comes out shite, ill leave it

the shop called fabricaz on ebay has some great material. i used the faux suede to retrim the plastics and am getting the leathercloth or textured leather to do my door cards.

Now did you do the plastics? Spray adhesive and slap the material on?
Any pics?

the only bits that were a twat (only because the faux suede has no stretch in it were the plastics behind the seatbelt holder.
the rest was a lengthy process which involved being extremely careful not to get any spray glue anywhere. I have the headliner going to a re-trimmer in byker business park as I dont want to tackle it with glue in case i wreck the 2 metres extra ive had to buy!

Now that I think of it, any dash parts would be a right cunt to do, would need bits chopped out everywhere.
