various sand papers, Plastic primer, paint and lacquer and alot of time.
i sprayed my bumpers and arches and it takes ages to sand down, dont skimp on the sanding as you will only regret not sanding as much later.
take your time with the spraying aswell, when i done mine i used a hairdryer to speed up the drying proccess as it was pretty cold when i done mine.
P.S. warm the can of lacquer first before applying it and another good thing i found was if you think you have sprayed too much and its gonna run get the hairdryer on it quickly and it stops it from running and if its not oo much paint it wont be noticeable

i might wait until daz 16v is back and ask him it i can use his compressor.
When i went to the paint shop he said i wont need primer just flatten the paint down and that i wouldn't need lacquer if it's just a base colour, is that right?

I did my bumpers and arches in satin black. Turned out okay IMO, I do have a mate who sprays quitea bit who picked up on a few blotches I had but he's the only person thats noticed. I noticed but didnt think anyone else would so I left it hehe.

he's chatting shit. you will need lacquer on top of the paint otherwise the finish would be totally different to the rest of the car, it gives it the shine. if you're spraying over something which already has paint on then you wont need primer but if you're spraying over straight on top of metal or plastic you will need primer.
