but looking at a nice minter around £2000 mark...i dont think the is anything cheaper in price and insurance for me to get other than a vts/gti really a 1.6 corsa seems silly when i have a 1.4 i guess

Every sensor possible (ABS, Throttle position etc etc)
ECU's
Axles
Air bag wiring

gearboxes yes, but not had any problems from the rest you state from any of my pug 106s,

they arent that bad, certainly no worse than a corsa for reliability

its either this or another year of 1.4 powaahhh!!! i just think i might be being silly...but if i cud get £1600 for the corsa, and sell me softstars and zort and stuff for abit then i may think of one for xmas)

My ex had a VTS and it was the biggest pile of shite ive ever placed my arse in.

Had all the hallmark Pug/Cit problems and had never been ragged etc.

I would NEVER own one. Ever.

iv had 2 and known a lot of people with others, non have had any problems.

i had more hassle with my corsas

well aint had a single problem with my 1.4 sport but for sum reasons do expect problems with a gti...just as its a little frenchies like!, i crave the power and dont mind the looks either...a rallyee wud be cool but gti seems to have wot i want...will have to find sum1 thats got one local and have a looksie like

corsa gsi, split fuel tank, rotten chassis legs needed welding etc, car wouldnt rev properly, icv went, fuel pump went, it stunk of fuel, ht leads fucked, that was about it

my other one, the headgasket went, and the cam belt snapped prematurly (unlucky i guess)

well all depends how its been looked after and that, whats the REAL 0-60mph, top speed and 1/4 on a standard/modded gti then?

my gti ran a 15.2 with an exhaust, and 15.5 completely std, although iv seen completely std do a 15.2

0-60 low to mid 7's

my other option was try for a 205 gti...(maybe too old for my liking) or maybe look towards VW's but doubt im going to find anythink decent for the price of £2k like

You could go on about what? Dude you must know FUCKALL about them. Gearboxes go sometimes, but not everytime. And everything else... get the fuck off the bandwagon and get a fucking grip

thats my problem i guess my moneys tied up in my corsa at the moment
i love corsa's but am bored of my own, i could put some money into it and keep it a year or two but want the fun now redtop wud be great but abit of a dream with the wage im on like...if i can find a nice gti ill be on it i think

You'd get a tidy Mk2 Golf GTi 16v for £2k

I sold my 8v for 1500 & it was in pretty good condition!!
