I fancy another wee Toy so I have my Escort up for sale as i just dont have the Room.
Im in No Rush to sell and the Price isnt open to Haggling as im not fussed if i dont sell it.
This is a very honest car having been fully restored at a guess around 5-7 years ago.
I bought the car this year after owning many RS's Before and missing my last S1. The car had been restored in the past and was already very clean and had and still has no signs of any rust.
This is not a concours or Show car, Im only stating this as as we all know there are so many different standards that a RS can be brought upto
What i class my car as is a Clean useable car that can be used Daily without the worry of a stone chip damaging it etc.
I only use the car on the Odd Weekend and it does stay in My Heated Garage all the time.
All Inner Arches are Nice and White as they Should be.
The car as mentioned has been restored at some point by a previous owner and at a guess id say had 2 wings and Front Panel fitted along with Inner wing Top Halfs, but these are done to a Good Standard..
The Floor is Soild and Requires NO Wedling
The Outer Paintwork is Very Clean but being Very Fussy id paint the Roof and Touch up some minor marks on some Panels (and i am being VERY Fussy when i say this)
I could have the Bits Painted etc for around £200 but i dont see the point as its an hounest Straight car that i enjoy Drving without the added worry of caring too much where i drive it.
If you did want to spend a bit of money and get yourslef into the Show Scene, This car would be IDEAL.
The car is a NON CUSTOM, but at some point in its life (early 80s) it has been fitted with an after market sunroof, but it didnt put me up nor down and gives it some charector. It dosent leak and works Perfect.
It has the Usual Custom Opening Rear 1/4's Fitted.
The car is showing 35k miles but I can t verify that. I do know that the Engine is 100% Spot On and Pulls Prefect in EVERY GEAR. It has no silly Knocks. Bangs or Rattles. The Turbo Spins up Fine and the Car does not smoke.
The Engine Bay is Clean and Rust Free and the engine Block is Painted RED and the Rocker Cover Blue. The previous owner told me the Car had afully rebuilt engine at 30k miles, So it has done less than 5k and Certainly Drivies like it has. The Car has Probabaly done 135k but aint they all.
The car is Fitted with a Full Magnex Exhaust and a Baily's Dumpvalve. It runs Stanadard Boost.
All 4 tyers etc are VERY Good and the Wheels are in Fair Condition with No Major marks etc.
Just last week, I fitted BRAND NEW Ford Headlamps and Orange Indicators which costs me a pretty Penny but look Great.
The Recaro seats are very Nice with No Holes etc and have Great Bolsters, They maybe need a clean thats about it.
Now for the RARE Bit, The Dash on the Car is in VGC with 2 very minor cracks but you Hardly notice them.
There is no History with the car, but this was due to the previous owner losing it, im sure with a bit of effor the Person that restored this car could be traced and some good info/history forund for the car as at some point in its life someone has spent a great deal of time on it.
The car is Open to any inspection and can even be viewed up on a ramp if you require. There is no Hidden secrets with this car, What you see is what you Get.
Remember its over 20 Years old, so dont expect it to be like a 2007 Focus but you can expect a straight Driving Car with Hours of fun to be Had.
My only Reason for sale is i Fancy another Cosworth

The car can be Delivered Anywhere in the UK for an Extra Cost. i have used a Local Company before and they Charge around £250-£350 for most of the UK.
IDEALLY I WOULD LIKE TO P/X FOR A MK1/MK2 ESCORT EVEN ONE IN NEED OF SOME LIGHT WORK.
