Why don't you get an external one?
Your laptop might not support 2 hard drives.

Probably not. Look up the specs for your laptop online and see what expansion options their are.

doubtful.
even if you could remove the floppy drive and fit a hard drive into the hole the floppy used a different connector to the hard drive so it wouldnt be able to be connected.
easier and cheaper to get an external drive, it also allows you to transfer the drive between computers easily if required

Some laptops do allow you to take out the floppy drive and replace it with a hard drive. Find out the make and model of your laptop and i should be able to find out.
Another option is to put in a larger hard drive. If you want all your music and larger files on a seperate drive then partition the drive so you have 2 drives. This allowing you to format the logical parttion and not loose any data as it will be stored in the other partition.
