Hi, some advice, after a new car.

want it newish obviously with my price bracket its not going to be too new but dont really want something totally old.

fastish, around £3000, insurance aint to much of hinderance. would like ok fuel consumption as i drive through to uni everyday and ok reliability.

was thinking:

106 gti
vts
polo gti might be out price range thogh
accord type r again bit expensive

any more ideas?

i would imagine a Golf mk3 gti has pretty shit fuel consumption as well...

Fiesta Zetec-S.... but they're a bit slower than all the other cars mentioned I guess!

Not unreliable just costly if you dont look after them. As long as you take them to a specialist you'll be fine.

Just picked up my 182 and its brilliant blows any of the above out of the water.

Done 300 miles in mine already since weds And I owned an Astra GSi for a year and only did 3k miles in it all year go figure

not had many in the renault garage where i work other than general services, i think its mainly more the 182 that you have to watch

lol wouldnt do me any good i have no idea about cars lol.

think ill look at a clio 172 looks like the best balance of mpg, speed and price for the budget i have
