I am currently trying to sell my dad's old car as he has just bought an Alfa 166.
The car in question is a Citroen Xantia 1.8 16v LX.
SPEC:
96 (N)
around 145k miles (but please read on!!)
MOT til december (i think, will check tho.)
tax til april
Metallic silver
5 door Hatchback
Electric windows
Power Steering
Remote Central Locking
Rad/Cassette (with aux in socket for CD/mp3/ipod)
Front Fog Lights
Alloy Wheels with 4 good Firestone tyres
Tow Bar
Self levelling suspension
service history
GOOD BITS:
This year it has had lots of new bits including:
Clutch
Timing belt inc. tensioners, water pump, and crankshaft pulley
F brake discs and pads, R pads
Full service end of may
2 F. Brake Calipers last year
starter motor last year
battery last year
BAD BITS:
The paintwork is patchy in places.
Lacquer peeling off bonnet and offside rear quarter
dent in front of roof near ariel where the bonnet had flipped up on the motorway. (dont worry the people who fitted a new windscreen didnt shut it properly and it flipped up and smashed the aforementioned new screen!!)
apart from the paintwork there is nothing wrong with it.
whoever buys it will get an excellent workhorse (ideal cos of the self levelling suspension and towbar)
we have had the car for the last 6 years and have clocked up 100k miles in it. Only twice has it failed to start.
1) TDC sensor packed in. (replaced)
2) a week later the starter motor went (replaced)
the car has had a lot of money spent on it and has been well looked after so we are looking for about £500 for it and if we get v. close to that, we will stick a new mot on it
for more info u2u me or call 07927 555 361
thanks, craig
