with solenoids what happens if your battery goes dead ? are you locked out the car

It could be done, if you tried hard enough. Or the rear screen, or the side windows. Normally covered on insurance without loosing NCB!

Its for a the rear two doors of a 5 door if that makes any sence lol soooo if the battery goes dead then you just open the front 2 doors

what if i set up a cord to release the bonnet from outside the car. but make it so i only know what to do and look for ?

maybe you could make some battery terminal extensions hidden under the car, so if you get a flat battery you can just connect up some jump leads and your sorted.

Thats what most people do, i did it on mine, just ran a postive wire from battery to underneath of front of the car which if needed you can charge the battery through or on a jumper lead/pack!

Its worth paying for a good solenoid! Mine were fairly good ones but if your doors are slightly heavy like mine were then they pop but you have to get your fingers in to pull open!
