Mum just had a phone call from the estate agents.
The people who live in the apartment we are interested in have been waiting for their new one to be built, and the builders have offered them a £10,000 reduction if they start the proceedings right now.
They've agreed to let us have their apartment for £10k less, which has been passed on to the people who wanted to buy ours.
They weren't having any luck selling their house, but the bloke has sold his flat and is able to go ahead without selling theirs, at 10k less.
It's 100% going ahead, the estate agents have cast iron proof that he can do it without selling, so it's just down to solicitors and stuff now.
So, basically, in less than 8 weeks time, I'm moving
Moving from a 4 bedroomed semi, to a 2 bedroomed penthouse apartment.
Can't wait.
It was a bit unexpected to say the least, we'd not heard anything much for a week or so.

Yeah you will, it's only up the road from the current one.
No garage, but my sister has a massive double in her new house

Pics tomorrow, going back to measure up and see what furniture they've offered to sell us
Solicitors are doing stuff now too, and because they work closely with the estate agents, they're doing it as a rush job.

Right, here they are -
Open the front door to this corridor
Then take the first door on the right, which leads you into the dining room
The kitchen is off the dining room to the left
and the view back from the kitchen
Then, upstairs is the living room type area
here's the middle part of it, looking down to the end
here's the far end, with electric 'fire' and random cubby hole thing
view from there
and the other end, which has a desk in
and the view from that bit
then back down the stairs
back in the corridor, second on the left leads you to 2 cupboards and the guest toilet
Then the next door is the second bedroom
round the corner is the ensuite shower room
back out of there and in to the master bedroom
with ensuite bathroom with shower over bath
all the bathrooms have floors like this
and back into the corridor to leave

Nik, can't afford it would be nice though.
Dom, it was on for 199,995, but the current owners were looking at a new apartment for the same, their builders have said if they move on/before the 18th of December, they can have it for £189,000, so it can be on this year's accounts, not next.
So, we're getting 10,995 off the price of that, and dropping ours the same so the people who want ours don't have to sell theirs (the bloke has sold his flat and has enough to go ahead without a mortgage, so no-one needs mortgages sorting, which means it can be done quicker.
It was actually originally on for 209,995, but they dropped it to 199,995 after about 6 months of it not selling

Nah, second bedroom Marc, which suits me better anyway as it's got a shower and I don't want fitted wardrobes.
Both are massive, master is 23'11" by 12'4' (7.29m x 3.76m) with a corner missing for the ensuite and the second one is 20'4" by 8'9" (6.20m x 2.67m) plus the ensuite, so I'm not too fussed anyway really.
Nath, the 'fire' is

It's ace, it cost my folks about £600 too, so it's a good one to have already in there. Even if you don't want it on, you can have it lit up

Tis well swish, more of a top notch batchelor pad though imo. Would prefer house with a family though, would feel a bit odd living in an apartment with parents.

The remainder of them, yeah, just me and my mum, I can't afford a house of my own with no job
It'll be mine one day anyway
