We got cosmo on a free.
TBH don't think we spent £50m and we got a bit back for players sold.
Babbel was 12, torres was 20 odd. Lucas leiva was about 6 or 7 iirc. 5ish for benayoun. Loads of youngsters like leto and arbeloa.
Ok that does add up to about £50m

Only brazilians I know we've bought are lucas leiva and aurellio. Leto and insua are argentinian and were only bought in the summer insua is a defender, leto left winger?

We signed a Paraguian central defender, Ronald Huth, but we didnt pay big money for him.
The only Brazilian we paid decent money for this summer was Lucas Leiva, but he is a central midfielder, and looking to be a quality one at that.
