coilovers are just a fashion gimmick for most car enthusiasts!! Or for plebs that want a car 'decked'' or some shit like that...

My opinions after being there and doing that

I cant understand how a decent fixed rate kit can improve the handling of a car THAT much over a budget coilover setup -especially on flat tarmac roads

Well its good to see all your opinions,

It seems i may be better off with a fixed rate set, as i wont be adjusting the height much.

Id like it to sit around 50-60mm but really im looking for it to handle better with a nice feel

After having 40mm nova springs on the last corsa, i thought id sort this one out a bit better

Yeah I know you pay your money you make your choice, I just liked the look of them better than similar priced fixed height kits.

Ive heard from plenty folks that there ok so............why not, its only for a VW motorway cruiser anyway its not like its going on a track or anything

most coilover units used (for example spax) are universal, they have hundreds already made up and just weld the appropriate brackets on for the vehicle.

do you honestly think a omega estate would require the same dampening/rebound rate as a stripped nova?
albeit with a few mm of damper spring adjustment??

any coilovers for £300 will be rubbish. spend an extra £20 and I can do a full bilstein fixed rate/height setup for you.
