Havnt really had an oppertunity to take the car out since the speedlines were fitted the other week until tonight and when i did it lasted all of 10 minutes. The back arches are hard up against the tyres at the back and car literally wont move without making a very loud [and embaressing screeching and scraping noise. It is lowered on 60mm nova springs and the back but can't figure out why it scrapes on the back with speedlines.just had enough as time before that it was out also for 10 minutes because the driveshaft was knocking! just fed up and had enough really

is it a big job? never really done anything like it before as its my first car and haven't had to bond anything.guessin its just a case of tiger seal[other brands are available lol] on back of arch and then line it up? is there a metal inner arch? cos it feels like its the actual lip on the inside of the arch thats rubbing because there is no gap at all between the tyre and arch

will do MatthewR. theyre on 195/45/16 tyres.2 pirelli p-zero's and 2 p-zero nero's.only thing i can think of is that 2 of them,i think its the p-zeros that are on the back, have quite a big tyre wall,as in they seem to stick out further than the rim

ideally isnt 195/40/16 the better profile on 16s?

and yes, check the offset, you may have et42 or something (not well up on speedlines for corsa's) if thats the case, sell them and buy the correct ones

Definately sounds like you have the wrong offset, friend of mine had his speedlines on and no matter how many people he had in the car it would not rub in the slightest

the wheels definately are et49,just removed one to check.fronts have slight marking on them due to me having spacers on because of coilovers they touch arches on full lock and back do have marks on tyres but cant seem to see anything on back arches.no signs of plastic shaving off like there was a little amount of on the front.will take some as detailed pics as possible in the morning when i can get some decent light

no mate,it's not the front im worried bout theyre fine when driving,it's the back tyres being hard up against the arches, need to read the whole thing before you jump the gun certainly no reason for the rear arches being hard up against the tyres.i understand if there was spacers or spigot rings on but there is nothing on the back

i know what it is

i bet you a tenner its the spring clip on your front calipers,

take the front wheels off and check for marks

i had the same problem with mine, had to remove clupe and grind a bit of the caliper, then there is no need for spacers, and no rubbing

check the rears too, nothing stopping them being the wrong ofset, even if the fronts are correct
