thinking of doing a conversion middle on next year, just need some info if any one has any!

1. what sort of price would i be looking at to do this, (i wont be able to do much of the work myself - dont no enought about engines etc)

2. will i be able to insure it, will it be more expensive because its a conversion?? what sort of prices will it be - 1 years ncb (18 years old)

just want to know some of this before i start saving and buying stuff!

also i dont want another car and transfer my stuff to it, want to use my car!!!

if your going to do a 1.4 / 1.6 it will be easyier to go and buy one mate as insurence will be that little higher. or do it proplty and go xe.my opinion is why convert a corsa that you can buy standard already done.go red-top

i would but at 18 i dont think i could insure it, also xe are old, i am hopefully going to let it in the future but i cant afford the insurance yet! thts why i thought a 1.4 or 1.6 would be good for a few years!

you will get bored of it easily.

i got bored of the 1.2 corsa after about a month, and am bored of the zs after 4 months

I'd just get a Corsa Sport or GSI rather than pissing about with conversions and getting it insured as a conversion.

it'll be cheaper to insure a standard 1.6 than a 1.0 thats had a conversion

1.6....miles better in standard form and better gains from tuning, if your into that sort of thing.

1.4's are a bit gutless tbh.

i agree with the above. on the 1.4 pull nice in first then into second but gash from then on.

as for xe being old. its just as old as a LET but more acessable and more reliable and i dont think the mpg is half as bad
