£65 to spray a boot lid, inside and out, currently coated in etch primer, with chap doing the work supplying paint etc.
Wasnt too sure myself, thought it might be a tad high
If expensive, what roughly do people think would be reasonable price.
Thanks

Oh, right
What he will be doing is spraying the boot inside and out and then laquering it.
Tried myself, but cant do it, tis an art for sure. Said i could have a look at his work if i wanted to before he did it for me, recommend checking it out?

Pop the rear screen out first, you can re-fit it using a piece of string!

You should be able to do it yourself fella, I did with my rear quarter windows on my old mini, also did the same on my Mums metro after some cunt kicked the window in.
You put the seal around the glass as usual then run a piece of string all around the seal (the bit that would go against the metal) and leave one end of it on the inside, one on the outside.
Place the bottom of the window into place then pull the relevant end of the string and as it runs around, it pulls the seal out and pops the window in!

Yes.
Or off your old screen if it was pushed out from the inside rather than cut out.

Yeah, its a nice safe option that way. I was going to say that once it is sprayed you could push the rear screen out of the existing tailgate and use the rubber and glass from that so you also keep the right reg-plate on the glass! Only thing is, if you run into any problems you are half-way house with a car thats as open as Dani Behrs legs.

My car is so faded it is practically white in some places (seriously) but it comes up mint when G3'd, t-cutted etc.
IME you get what you pay for on re-sprays, for £200 I would expect a prize turkey of a job.

Windows on a Metro or a Mini aren't bonded in. Corsa ones are.

I think im going to leave my other boot how it is anyways, might sell it on, might keep it for a rainy day, so might aswell get the existing glass for the semi-smooth one put back in.
Shouldnt cost too much if i cant do it myself i wouldnt have thought surely someone i know will know a man who can do it.
