Is there a special type of socket you can get for removing rounded bolts?
Ive been told theres one which has lots of pins inside that when you hammer it on it forms the shape of the bolt & makes removal easy.
Tried banging a 12pin socket on I just got cut knuckles

Can you not cut it off?
You can get them, but they're normally crap and you're better off grinding the bolt out, or hammering on a smaller socket of the same shape.

... and you dont need to hammer it on.. The pibs are spring loaded, so you just push on and it locks onto whatever it can.
Cheapest solution is a drill and tap n die

hammer a socket on, those hardened steel things aint that hard, ive done it a few times being a tyre fitted,
if not, welding a bolt head on might do the trick but its likely to snap

normally when you batter a socket it on... its the socket that gets mashed, not the bolt... so just hit it harder ye fanny (are you using too small a socket?
