Love both. Resistance is my favourite FPS after playing COD3 and FEAR.
Motorstorm was a little difficult to get the hang of (especially if you switch to the motion sensors to control the vehicles), but very good

Yeah Resistance is a futuristic shooter, and Motorstorm is dirt racing in everything from bikes to trucks -- nice bit is you can steer (and wheelie/dive on the bikes) using the motion sensors...

I found motorstorm so frustrating, hated it TBH. Sold it to a mate now.
Resistance is awesome though, really good game, quite difficult in places, but keeps you interested. Love it, still not quite completed it.
Motion sensors are in the wireless controller, you lean right, the car (or whatever) turns right, lean left, same thing. Doesn't work very well IMO, tried it on Motorstorm and turned it off again, might be better if you stick with it, but I'd rather just play than learn how to use it.

played it as a tester

im fuckin stuck on resistance its doing my head in. level called burning bridges i think it is.
motorstorm i got with mine, didnt play it for a few weeks, but ive got into it now. its a different kind of racing game and it is actually pretty good.

What have you got to do on that level muppet?
I'm stuck on the tunnels, after when the woman says about the power cables going right underground.....

you walk out off the bridge, there is a fight going on, then a stalker appears, destroy that, followed by another stalker, destroy that, then a widdowmaker appears, can i fuck destroy it. it wipes me out within maybe 30 seconds. ive tried the level maybe 15 times now. each time, the widowmaker defeats me. pissed me off really as i tihnk its quite near the end of the game.

Hmm, don't remember that, not sure I've got that far......
The bit I'm stuck on just doesn't have enough ammo and like you, I've tried it so many times

is it the level where you start looking down on some of them weedy looking steve williams types? then run into a room and theres loads of them pods and one of them lanky fuckers?

Yeh, thats the one, one lanky thing, then you go through another tunnel and into the big cave and theres another 3 of them and I've not got enough ammo to kill more than 2

how are you defeating the pods? you need to use that puss ball gun thing i find, saves ammo on the proper weapons. lay puss balls out, run towards then back away.
tip for 2nd room is make them lanky things run back into the tunnel back into the first room and just keep shooting the shit out of them. i actually think thats not the hardest bit on that level actually. im not much further on than that. couple of levels i think.

I've started using the shotgun, you can kill all of them as soon as they jump out with one shot which is handy.
Then I go to the next room, carefully kills the Steves, move a little further and the lankys ones run at you so I shoot and shoot, kill 2 by which time I've got no health.
Did get stuck earlier on in Manchester Cathedral, but cracked it eventually. Really liked that level actually.

shit yeah, when you first walk into it, took me a few goes aswell.
worse thing is once youve destroyed that other lanky thing. there are a few random shooting creatures, then one of them can shoot through wall ones aswell. kept getting me. finally just somehow managed to do it. if you can get the 3rd lanky thing, just make everthing follow you back into the first room.
i find it quite a good game, although because i cant do the level im on, im likely to set fire to the disk shortly.
