what would it be?
mine would be a 3-1-3-1-2! fast attack with rooney sittin behind, 3 across th middle with gerard sitting in behind to support both defence and midfileld! and the 3 big strong fellas at the back!
middle of the field is compact with players so will be hard to break through and gives plenty of passing options in the midfield making it easier to give runs to the fast strikers with rooney in behind for powerful shots from clearences or general support for teh two up top!

depends how you want to play tho! becham and cole are both wide players! we have no tall players upfront! the midfiled is compact means we have to play the ball around! simlar formation to how brazil play! and if teh midfield do thier job properly we should be more than comfortable at the back with the 3 big lads! terry and lescott are kiwk so can get back and if we come under pressure gerrard should drop back and help! its all about the movement!
alot of people are just narrow minded with tactics and dont agree with anything other than the 442 or 451!
this formation works for brazil! worked for munich in the 70s! amoung many other successful clubs over the years! we have the players good enough to pull it off! well with the right manager that is

You should of said you were, as you need an excuse for that team
Why put the best attacking midfielder in the country just infront of the defence, that is just a joke
IMO....
---------------------Carson-------------------
Richards-------Terry--------Rio--------Cole
Beckham---Hargreaves---Gerrard---Cole
-------------Crouch-------Rooney-----------

in all fairness tho if was 2 swap lampard with king or hargreaves, gerrard could move into the centre! but he likes to get a tackle in! hes fit enough to do the job in that position and push up when we are on the attack then get back again to cover! he has played ther for liverpool and england and done a good job!

did you see him last night? i think him, lampard and bridge had a bet to see who could play worse

I would play Owen ahead of Crouch really, but not sure if he is ever going to regain the fitness to play a run of high level games without getting another injury. He has lost nearly all his pace which made him so dangerous in the past aswell.
So with Beckham on the right, and Rooney + Gerrard loving to come from deep, Crouch could be a good partner for him.
