pretty much standard 1.6.

i worked out that over 230 miles i averaged 34 mpg. (mixed driving)

that sounds ok but not amazing... what's normal??

lots of faster cars would have similar running costs (not including insurance costs obviously)...

what do you reckon??

the other week it cost me a tenner to travel 12 miles in the tigra, but thats coz i had a hole in my petrol tank, with a new tank, not much better. 30mpg is the best i can get

Yaris SR 1.3... does between 40-44mpg depending on how heavy my right boot is

Get around and sometimes slightly more than 34 mixed driving in the 2.0 when not constantly ragging it.

1 litre = 0.212 gallons

so 46 litre corsa tank is roughly 9.75 gallons

divide the number of miles you get out of a tank by 9.75 for a rough average mpg.

There is a proper formula for working out mpg. Sods law i threw the bit of paper it was on away about 1 week ago

The formula is in the question. Miles per gallon, as in miles/gallons of fuel used.
