Curently looking for a new phone as my aging 6600 is on its last legs Was originally going to replace it with a N95 but the new Viewty seems to be pretty bloody good and is getting good reviews, especially the camera.
Is it worth getting the Viewty or should i stick to the original plan and get the N95? Apart from the GPS i can't really see any other advantages of the N95 over the Viewty, or is there something i've missed?
Also, anyone know any good mobile sites that lists current deals etc? Matt H posted a link to a really good site, but i can't find the post
cheers all,
Dom

Yea, been reading the reviews and it seems like a really really good phone. Im not really interested in GPS on the N95 and im just wondering if the N95 has any other advantages over the Viewty?

I wouldn't have another touch screen phone, they get annoying
N95 is very good, I'd go for that

really? thats the only thing im worried about - i'll have to try and get into town to have a play with one over the weekend. Cheers for the link though matt
Robbo - had problems with them in the past, so has the old dear, hence why im not too keen on going with vodafone again. Obviously if you could get a good deal on the Viewty/N95 then i may change my opinion

Surf the net on the phone? Not fussed really, would be nice but not necessary.
Ideally just after something that can make calls, text/mms and has a decent camera - i have an ipod for videos/music and like i said, i'm not really fussed about GPS and surfing the net. N95 was the original idea because i wouldn't have to adapt to another UI etc and from using them before they seem to be a decent phone - bar the iffy battery life and freezing bugs (not sure if they've been fixed).

Viewty is cool, but if your not fissed with features why choose 2 feature packed phones?! Neither are small or light...
Go with a 6300 or something

apart from the battery the N95 is a fantastic phone, i got one the other week. Got loads of useful things, wifi, gps, mp3 player quality is awesome - and the slider opens to reveal music playback controls which is nifty.
Pretty good piece of kit, internet browsing is cool too - only downside is that it could do with a touchscreen

touchscreen on an n95? no way does it need it
i have had 1 touch screen phone, o2 mini s, loved it but only cos it had a QWERTY keyboard
QWERTY is what the n95 needs...

jimbo - been looking at the 6300 but i wouldn't mind a camera thats a little better, one reason why i was looking at the N95 and Viewty.
Im guessing touchscreen phones are a pain in the arse? not many people seem to be liking them
Im edging towards the N95 again, but it's the battery life thats putting me right off - people say they get about a days use out of it before recharging it, which is a bit naff

Ive got the Viewty and its the best phone ive had, and ive had a few.
Txting is easy, just as easy, if not easier than a normal phone.
Ive also got a 6300 and a K850i on other contracts, but Viewty is tops.

Honestly i have had the N95 and the Viewty. I kept the Viewty and the N95 was sold!
All those saying about the touch screen getting annoying i think you need to try the viewty for a length of time as i had the same outlook on the feature when first getting the phone.
Having owned an SE P990i which again is touch screen and hating it from the moment i owned it have had my mind changed by the viewty.
The screen is really responsive and the buttons are large enough even for the fatest fingers. Also texting is really easy as the phone has features for all users however they prefer to text.
The N95 yes is a good phone but the N Series of Nokia's i have found to be full of small glitches some of which you can never over come and get annoying.
Viewty all the way for me!!

My N80 has no glitches, infact my sony ericsson k800 has a truck load
If your prepared to learn how to use an nseries properly and are semi twch savvy with internet and software updating then an nseries phone is an awesome machine.
Viewty is ace too, but a different type of device.
P990 is god awfull

can the N95 be unlocked without going to a provider? I know it can be using MT-Boxes and the detonator clip but just wondering if these online sites offering to unlock for a fiver work?
