im looking for lightweight stuff so I will get a FG bonnet and take it to a local friendly bodyshop. doesnt need to be a pretty as that, Im planning on a custom airbox and vent setup.

take the airbox and airhose assembly off the back of the throttle body
fit a sock
job done

You have to think of the original costs for the moulds though steve, things needed to mould fibreglass doesnt come free.
Also moulds have to be PERFECT to get a good result everytime.

yes but even if you factor in the moulds, that is still some markup!
guys i used to know who worked at pmc used tell me all about markups for fibreglass stuff lol, people would be shocked

Yea after you've proberbly sold the first bonnet you've got your money back but moulding isnt an instant thing.
Still takes time and that time could be spent on doing other things.
