and I managed to create almost daylight when it was nearly dark outside

I'm quite impressed, but couldn't really get the right amount of light from the headlights without the rest of the car looking dark

The first one was 60 seconds, the second was 15 and the third was 8. All were with an f number of 8 I think (the smallest I could get it)

Couple more

Anyway, that was my first try, any tips?

I did take more, but they were blurry.

Oh, and the number plate is in the window because one of the bolts holding the holder has gone missing and I haven't got new ones yet, before anyone starts

Obviously the longer exposure time you have is guna effect how over exposed the lights are. To cut that down just shoot when its a bit lighter just cut down shutter speed time.

F8 will be ok because your using a tripod. Will be sharp enough.

Things i dont like. Rear window is blown out as is the sky. On the darker shot the white balace is wrong (look at the wheels, blue tint, should be silver)
