wat the sandwich plate that goes between the oil filter and the engine, that has the hoses coming out of it

Sandwich plate between the block and the oil filter.

take the oil filter off then you will need a large allen key to undo the oil filter thread.then the plate will drop off.

How would I attach an oil filter without re-attaching the oil cooler sandwich plate?

need to buy a new threaded peice, of an no oil cooler'd engine, i.e 2.0 8v etc
