hu?
Emerald software won't work on your stock ECU.
It will come as an ECU without a map. You have to write that or get someone to write it for you.
...i think

a friend recommended Omex but told me to stay clear of megasquirt apparently badly put together.
The ecu in effect would be able to be written to control everything on my car right? So fuelling problems/emissions would be a thing of the past?

Well.... not really...... because they still use some of the sensors for load detection and can still have the same problems.
You need to hit the source of the current issue

why do you need it?
Are you running a standard ignition/engine?
The route you are thinking of going is a very expensive mask to a problem if the engine is standard.
If you are overfueling find out why....
