C16XE has a black inlet manifold and has an AFM.
X16XE has a silver inlet and has no AFM.

Most probably an X16XE. And that's pretty much book figure, were you expecting more?

M reg will be a 94/95 and will be an X16XE.
Should make 110hp with filter and exhaust system. If its standard, its over-reading.

No, not at all i didnt even want it on the rollers but we were testing lightweight flywheels lol... just thought that would help people answer my question.
I have a guy wants to buy my ecu (as the engine is comming out) and the car is in the workshop so i couldnt just go look to see if it had an afm lol

Iain, yeah, the C16XE range went into 2004 for an unknown number. It was halfway through that the C16 was pulled in favour of the X16.
Basically, you've got the best engine, in the best spec model, in the latest year it came!!!!!!
PS, that C16 will respond much better to tuning

Not the best, but I suppose if you do a before and after, you could work out how much engine response improvement the flywheel gave?
Should it not reduce mechanical drag on the engine too?

tbh the tyre pressures will have more effect than testing different weight flywheels.

Yep, sprint testing, in gear acceleration before and after and also whp figures. Its not to prove anything really, just to help explain stuff.
Was just interested to see what it made as it goes quite well for a stock 1.6..
