wait until you get the seats, if you put them through under the headrest then in a crash can result in them cutting your head off

because i's obvious...with bucket seats there are specially made ''holes'' in the headrest bit of the seat which each belt fits through (there being 2).

with a standard seat headrest, there are no special holes, just one large hole for both belts. in the event of a crash the belts will tighten up and could potentially slice your head off or cause serious injury.

doesn't take a genius to work it out.

How or why would they tighten up and cut you head off When you have a crash?

If they did it would be banned!

Just cant see it.

As above pic shows there is no reason for them to cross over and decapitate said human being in a crash.

Nope im sorry but there is no reason why a harness would chop your head off in a crash.

The reason buckets have holes for the harnesses to pass through is purely 'cus the headrest is moulded into the seat, thus by putting the holes in the belts can pass throgh the seat rather than round the sides.

Also just for the final nail, recaro do buckets with a single hole for the harnesses.

i spoke to sabelt personly, they said it is fine to have harneses on std seats.
3 point defintly
4 point only if the rears are crossed

Sparco installation and operating instructions state-

Harness belt systems will not function correctly and must not be installed in vehicles equipped with seats which do not have adjustable head restraints or backrests with integrated head restraints with no openings for the shoulder belts.

So as previously stated by myself and others they are fine.

oh well but it's just the same as when a seatbelt tenses in a crash, it will hurt your chest from personal experience.

same would go for the belts on your shoulers and could POTENTIALLY cause injury to your neck, not saying you will get decapitated but if you've ever been in a bad accident, you will understand where i'm coming from.

Some of the small rally clubs round here state cars must have original seats, front and rear.

Alot of the owners have harness type belts on OE seats in their astras/corsas.

if u rip out the back seats, in each corner you see a hole, i think the seatbelts are meant to mount there or summat, and then the points in the center ish, if u use my pic as a reference and compare it to your own, you will see where i mean mate.
