can the pad be used in the same way as a wii one can?

I have got lair and was amazed to find out alot of the controls are done by pad movement

Not sure if it has the accelerator in etc like the wii does tho? I'm sure it will have.

I am just blown away by what the console can do, beats any of the others by far

Think it just senses angles, tho in resistance you have to 'throw' the controller forward to do a melee attack.
