when the lad called in, i asked him if he had any modifications that affect recovery such as lowered suspension or bodykit, and he said no. The only reason i ask is so i can get the right truck out to him, couldnt careless if it was declared normally (have a soft spot for young lads in vauxhall corsa's ) but as he had denied it was modified i sent out a spec and they couldnt load it. The only way i could of done anything would of been to authorise a second vehicle to go out and i couldnt do that unless he paid for it, and he had no money

Moral to that story - declare your mods and if you don't - come clean at the earliest opportunity.

well i ask standard stupid questions like'do u have any pets or livestock in the car?' and another standard one is 'is there any modifications that would affect recovery, such as lowered suspension or bodykit?' and he said no straight away....when our driver got out there, he said it was lowered so couldnt get it on the spec, so i rang the driver and he reckoned he didnt know it was modified

funny thing is...that because it was out of hours and his insurance policy had a different vehicle on cover (he said he rang up earlier that day and changed it) we have to use a courtesy scheme and assist, but if he isnt actually covered for that car, then he will be getting a bill anyway
