Any good deals on Credit cards at the minute.. Marks and Spencer have no APR on shopping untill July....

Capital One Platinum Card
0% on purchases until 1st February 2009
5.94% interest p.a. variable on balance transfers
Easy balance transfers - a low 1.7% balance transfer fee*
Any good?
Basically need something like this where I can build up my credit rating as i have nothing at the minute, and going into buying a home with no history of regular payments wont be to good.
Can also be useful as i'd probablly start buying things for the house with it.

Thats good but chances are the APR after the introductiory period will be sky high and they backdate interest on your opurcases when you hit the apr!
Ie if you buy somethuing now and effectiovely dont pay it off then ocne the apr kicks in they will backdate the interest calc

Yep, thats the one Ive just got rid of... very good one but again, despite what it says the APR will likely be 17.9% at the end of the introductory period... woudl take that over capital one personally Kat

that platinum capital one wont give you one if you havent had one before and i think you have to b e 21. get the capital one classic, they will give you a shit start balance but goes up after 3 months

IMO you needn't look at the APR, unless you plan on not paying it off every month.
Anything will do if its just to improve your credit rating.

i got a capitalone card that as high apr something like over 30% but its aimed at people like yourself to build up credit history. and i will always pay mine on time so dont worry me

If the intention is just to improve your rating then % APR is irrelevant.
If you actually want to borrow money, this is a different reason.

Halifax have just offered me a 13month 0% offer. I didn't bother reading any further on - fed it through the shreader.
Gold Fish also offered me a card, never read the details of that one..
I use Lloyds TSB, it's not 0%, but i tend to buy and then pay off. There's no anual fee either.
If you want to make some money, purchase a 0% card, and bank it into a high intrest rate before the 2nd of April.

It is possible though 
I have some cheques with my Credit Card which actually say i can pay them into a bank account to pay off an overdraft. These are 0% for 6 months. Might pay them into a building society account at some point.

Be careful what capital one card it is, some of them have stupidly strict requirements.
