Does it not say on the specs page shutter range from 1/2 (0.5) to 1/1000 of a second?
Pretty poor if you ask me, especially for the price. My Fuji has a better range than that and only cost £100....
Compare it to something like a Fuji S5600

The Kodak you posted looks best on that link, but its got a very poor spec for the price. Matts is much, much better, for £80 less!

Maximum 'long' exposure shot that camera can do is half a second.
Most of the shots on here I guess you are trying to re-create, such as those Matt posted, need a 15 second exposure.
My camera will do up to 4 seconds, which probably still isn't long enough. Half a second is way too short.

seen two camera's i like but unsure wich is the better one of the two for the money (bare in mind these are out of a catalogue so prices maybe steep) theres the
fuji finepix digital fixed lens SLR camera model s9600
9 megapixel resolution
10.7 x optical zoom
2.0in tilting lcd
and the other is
nikon digital SLR camera D40
6.1 megapixel resplution
3xoptical zoom with 18-55 lens
2.5in lcd
i know these maybe advanced camera's to a n00b but thinking i can only get better in time with a decent camera cheers

No Problems Im gonna send it back when I get a minuite on friday
doesnt really matter so much about mega pixels
thats only how large the image can be made
any high end camera on a tripod will give you pictures like that
