while the skylines off for its engine rebuild i decided to buy a winter car and something to use on the track in summer

spec.

corsa sport shell
bilstein rear suspension 60mm
fk coilovers on the front
front and rear braided hoses
v6 grooved front brakes
fully re condition rear brakes
speedline allesio's in white with new tyres
full gsi bodykit
twin morrette headlights
smooth scuttle pannel
fully stripped out
2 cobra manaco bucket seats
sparco 3 point harnesses
safety devices rear cage
omp rear strut brace
suade d shaped steering wheel and momo boss
pioneer mids crossovers and tweeters,
pioneer headunit
2.0 16v c20xe engine
twin 45 webber carbs
arp rod bolts
f20 gearbox
new clutch
full chris astley fitting kit
big inner and outer cv joints
big hubs

just about to fit a corsa gsi pas rack and a saxo vtr electric pas pump

not exactly a good job, adverage but i do all my work myself apart from the skyline engine, also got a 106 gti for sale, 205 gti for sale and just sold my 2005 honda trx450r racing quad for 3.5k! lol

u reakon? i think the contrast goes quie well with the wheel, may look abit too dark on the front end with black headlights? they'l stay white i think

quick update went to the scrappers sunday got a saxo power steering pump, pipes, res bottle and wiring

also dug out my old corsa gsi rack, new track rod ends and check the fancy fittings out lol




plan is to relocate battery and mount pump where the battery normally is, then pipe it up and away, quick question before i start can you get the rack off/on with an xe engine in without taking the engine out?

another quick job done today, bit of weight saving



found this in the bootlid while i was there, nothing plugged in, whats it for?



then my new centre cap stickers came so off with the old on with the new

future plans

new exhaust
smooth gsi bumper dip where grill is
new grill
single wiper
remove spare wheel well
rear discs and compensator
then a re spray

just done some purchasing

new ball joints x2

f28 6 speed gearbox mount

nice front mounted intercooler

couple of reducers and some joiners


some arp rod bolts

f28 2wd kit

should arrive off the good old bay in the next week

also on ordered

z20let steel headgasket
cambelt kit (square tooth)
head bolts
metal exhaust manifold gasket
inlet manifold gasket
rocker cover gasket
8v rubber sump gasket and baffle plate
water pump

all systems go.........

another quick update, turbo lumps out, fully stripped to block and head to reveal low comp mahle pistons, steel h section rods! and courtenay cams, what a bonus that was, pics to follow tomorrow, next on list

degrease block
gegrease 6 speed box
paint box and block
clean top of pistons
clean bottom of valves
clean sump
clean the head
cut pulley holes out of the cambelt cover
get cambelt and rocker cover powder coated white
make 6 speed gear linkage
fit all gaskets/pumps and start rebuilding.

Sorry to sound like a vulture, but what are you doing with the carb setup once the existing engine is replaced with the turbo lump?

another update for today

heres a picture of the pistons, rods and arp's, and a before/after clean also shows the 86.44 pistons so there has been a +5 overbore at some stage.

quick update engine is built up now, all parts arrived and have now been fitted

1.9mm cometic head gasket
early male type head bolts
inlet gasket
steel exhaust manifold gasket
rocker cover gasket
8v rubber sump gasket with baffle tray
new water pump
cambelt kit

firstly i fitted the cometic gasket and the coscast head then torqued it all down to www.sbdev.co.uk settings for cometic gaskets


then fitted the rocker cover

cam pulleys

water pump and belt kit


belt cover and bottom pulley

sump gasket


inlet gasket

inlet manifold and alternator etc


ready to fit now then put exhaust manifold and turbo on when its in the car.

wont miss the carb noise at all mate, people rant on about how nice they sound but tbh i thought it was crap suppose im just used to hearing turbos winding up, once i have the gt 30 on running arount 1.2 bar it will sound just awsome, im prefering white twin lamps tbh mate, looks abit boring at the front in black no offence just my opinion.

White morettes are different and break up the colour aswell IMO, leave them white
