His bosses daughter has just passed her test.
When she puts her car in reverse, he wants their outside lights to come on. What thinks he needs is an transmitter that will send a signal to the reciver attached to the outside light when she puts her reverse lights on.
What he really needs is a swift kick to the balls because he's obviously sheltering his daughters life. And we need pics of said daughter.

why not just move the PIR sensor to when a car reverses onto the driveway, or if he is that concerned, wire up a transmitter to the reverse light

Why do you need the lights to come on while reversing? :-O Why not just switch them on? Only takes half a second :-S
