Righto.....i'm biting the bullet, and going to jump from the Sony ship. So, a re-conned X-Box is on the cards.
What I want to know is what TV should I be buying to play it on. At the moment I have a hand me down 28 Inch sony flatscreen, non HD.
Am I best to go for an HDTV? What options, where to buy, what I need. Please bear in mind, I am not made of money. What would the quality be like on the current telly?
Thanks

The quality is fine on a standard TV. I was playing mine for a year on a standard TV before I got the HD TV.
HD is just a lot better quality, but if you've never had it then you wouldn't know the difference anyway. I didn't.

If you tv supports it buy an RGB cable for your 360. This will improve the quality no end!

Great site that andy.
Right, I think i only have LCD money, and not Plasma.
Any differences? Will an HD LCD be good enough for what I want?

don't forget if you want HDMI you'll need a newer premium or an elite. i run mine through component as i only have 1 HDMI socket on the tv which is taken by the PS3, i'm not sure if there's much difference between the HDMI and component. i'm sure steve will be able to enlighten us on the subject.

Andy, I bought the xbox today, and it is an earlier one with no HDMI port. I couldn't afford the extra £80 to get a new one.
