will my 1.2 8v bottom half of engine be able to handle a 1.4 or 1.6 cylinder, cylinder head and pictons and cam? has this been done and does it last, are the 1.2 and the 1.4 bootm halfs of engine nearly the same?

No, you may as well piss into the wind.

I do not understand why you would want to do it either (other than keep an engine number to defraud insurance?)
