if i dont a quote online for say a c20xe or c20let calibra, would it be practicly the same as getting insurance with the engine in a corsa?

im thinking it might be a bit more, am i right?

It is based on the car the engine came from but still a lot more if it is a conversion.

weeeeeeeell me on a standard 1.6 16v corsa sport was a while back quoted at £900 fc my 1.2 16v sxi with a 1.6 16v conversion was £1600 fc with HIC insurance online quote thing a lot extra, don't know why they say it is based on the origional car if it is so much extra.

well lets see what hic come back to me with, ive just asked for a quote with e c20xe fitted with 1 year ncb and aged 21 living in low crime area

well mine was £600 with norwich union on a bog standerd 1.2 and they wouldnt insure me on a cally turbo till i was 25 but adrian flux have insured me 4 £530 on my let corsa with every mod declared just shop around m8

think I paid just over a grand when I was 20 with 1 years NCB on a corsa LET in a medium crime zone and garaged at night. third party fire and theft

well i can get insured on either of the cars, lowest quote i got for a cally non turbo was 800 tpft, god knows about the turbo

When I was getting quotes it was impossible to get one online, best bet is to ring them up. I am with adrian flux and im very happy with them.

You tell them the basics over the phone and they give you a quote, then if you take out the insurance they will send you a "modified vehicle report" and you just whrie under the headings what you have done and your quote doesnt change. then they cant say you didnt tell them about anything if you photocopy it before sending it back

yeah with hic i filled in a form on thier site explaining the mods and they will get back to me
