Is this any good?
http://ecomm.euro.dell.com/dellstore/basket.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1
I currently have a 19" normal monitor, flatscreen stuff doesnt bother me as i have a desk that would look empty without this monitor.
I use my pc for these things:
1. Internet
2. Imaging
3. Porn
4. THe odd game but im not obsessed
5. PHone management
6. Itunes
Thats about it.
WIll this machine last a long time? Im currently using a dell dimension 8300 i think which is 4yrs old now. Still got surround sound pc speakersa wireless keyboard and mouse so all i need is the machine.
Oh i also have an externall ESATA drive too.
Good buy then?

it will last you 3/4 years realistically that Dell PC.
Personally wouldnt buy Dell, I only buy HP these days. Don't go direct, can save money going elsewhere

Dell support is about a million times better than hp's when it goes wrong, from experience of both of them.
The XPS will be fine for what you want it for, it'll obviously get outdated the same as everything will but perfectly adequate.

Get new TBF, if your wanting Vista and som further future proofing.
I didnt see hjow long u'd had this computer, and I say upgrading every 3 years is about right.
I never deal with tech support - its my line of work. If its broke, its my job to fix it

Im really tempted to buy it! I get support free at home as my parents work from home and have a support contract to look after out server and lan etc. Just not being that techy means i like sticking to what i know!

The 2gig ram interests me alot. When u add it to the basket you get a discount on that, works out at £539.01 which isnt bad!
