Simply an optional extra - the only reason
Your EPS light should come on with the ignition, then turn off when you start the engine. If it is on when you're driving, you could have a problem

no it does go off but i just wondered what it was lol...
i breaked on a little bit of frost the other day to test it and my wheels screeched and skidded... good old vauxhall safety
i found it hard to believe abs didnt come as standard on them to be honest...

It does seem strange. Yours is a pre-facelift, and I think most post-2003 (facelift) cars came with ABS. Don't quote me on that one though

Probably - will cost a huge amount I should imagine. Although if it's a car that came with ABS, I should imagine it's pretty easy to fit *shrugs*

Not having ABS isn't that bad. Just don't tailgate

ABS on my was fine on my second C, first one didn't have it and thought the brakes were much better on the second .
Clutch was also fine on both C's, you lot must have had faults.

12v's aren't great. Really long pedal movement as well. Compared to my girlfriends Fiesta, which is super short.

Learning how to brake properly is a much better idea than spending a load on ABS.
ABS won't stop you crashing you know!

ABS is a load of shite. I would much rather be in full control of my brakes.
