As above,

looking in to having a go with machine polishing, but i really dont fancy spending £200odd on a polisher, if a £50 one wont be that much worse.

Anyone have any experience on the matter?

thats what i had gathered too, good pads make alot of difference from what id heard.

Ill be using Super Resin polish the first time round, then might purchase some meguires or menzerna polishes if i get any where near good results

Just make sure whatever you use has a soft start and works within the specified speeds of the compounds you are using and you should be ok.

are u looking at porter cabel polishers or rotary?

Rotary`s can do alot more damage and if you dont know what ur doing is hard to get it good.

Also depends what you want it for, if you want to bring the shine back up etc, i would get a rotary and then get a compound head and give it a go over with that and some g3, then get a final polish like 3m finnese on a soft pad, 3M do a good one, its a blue one with bobbles all over and go over with that!

Super resin wont do anything,
As said you'll be better off getting a good mashine polish, and a waxing/machine polishing mop head.

I use a rotary polisher at work and own my wont, but with both you need to be carefull..

Cheers for the advice guys,

Yes it will be a rotary, i know its more 'dangerous' so to speak, but from what i gather its alot quicker.

And greame, i know exactly the pad your on about and was going to try out 3m finesse too.

Ill keep you updated.
