lad on png had his track nova fail on the following :-

rear seat belts missing !
Passengers seat and belt missing
Rear passenger seat cant be secured in upright position !
VIN plate mnot permanently displayed
wiper motor
Exhaust to loud !

bottom three yes, i know they would be a fail but...

no rear belts - it doesn't have back seat's, got a cage there...
rear seat cant be secured in upright position - random, as there is no seat there?

no passenger seat or belt? - how it can fail on not having a seat, also, how can it fail on no seat belt, if there is no seat there for it?

any thoughts?

i failed for having no rear belts in a stripped out car with no rear seats. was told it didnt matter. we only have official test centres here, one in each large town etc.

Def cant fail rear seatbelts if there are no sets. I work in a mot station and know about that. Also we have never failed a car for being too loud but think that may be tester's discrepancy as there is no eqiupment to test it.

tis not my car, so im not fussed
he's fitting other front seat and harness, and mot tester said to him, he'll let him off the rear belts etc

i was just curious, if it could fail for it, as i know there's a few mot tester's on here, that would know the answer

can only fail an exhaust if its louder than the same sort of exhaust ... to me the person that tested that is obviously a retard and shouldnt be doing the job and if he keeps doing things like that then i dont think he will be for long

rear seat belts missing !
Passengers seat and belt missing
Rear passenger seat cant be secured in upright position !
VIN plate mnot permanently displayed
wiper motor
Exhaust to loud

If rear seats and seatbelts aint fitted then cant fail

Vin plate doesnt have to be there aslong as the vin number is stampped on the body

wiper motor fail if it doesnt work

Exhausts can fail on being to loud now there gettin harder on them

Additional stop lamps
Any additional stop lamps fitted and connected must be tested. Where extra lamps are fitted and there is doubt as to whether they are connected, the benefit of this doubt should be given to the presenter
