Just watched it, rookie error to allow Mir anywhere near a limb for a hold like that. He was absolutely dominating him though and i can see him being at the top of the pile soon enough, he just needs to go the long way round now!

Also wtf did he get docked a point for hitting the back of his head he was pounding his face and he turned away what are you supposed to do?

hammer, i gotta agree he will get there hes just so vicious in his attack, hes gotta learn 2 hold back though and wait hes 2 keen to get in and ground n pound, was a rookie mistake and thats all it was

Just finished watching the Sylvia fight there it appears these jujitsu guys are dominating mma just now, if you can withstand the strikers hitting you for any length of time and get a choke or a hold you've won it.

Might be best for Lesnar to go down that route rather than the stand up striker, even though he is some size of a human being!

havent seen the silva fight yet, watchin the bowl, but ive heard how it finishes.

definitely if u can squirm ure way into a hold of some sort ure winning most matches these days. i cud never see brock do that though, he jus screams hammer fist lol

Thing with him is, which Mir touched on, it's nigh on impossible to get him in a choke or arm bar as he just so thick. His legs are puny in comparison and he'd obviously scouted that!

Best bit of the night though; Sable, Undertaker, Angle and Stone Cold at ringside :cool:

i saw this last night, that brock bloke is huge was completely pummeling that Mir bloke but you could see that he was going to get him in a submission, Brock was too 'gun-ho', especially against a tactical fighter.

Be good to keep an eye on him though

Lesnar v any of the strikers would be the fight i'd like to see, then we'd see exactly what he's all about.

I reckon Mir v Minotauro for the title should be a shoe in for sometime in the near future, possibly the best 2 jujitsu specialists in UFC history.
