Bought in October '07, its an '02 Golf PD 130 tdi in standard guise, has some nice factory heated leather seats possibly an option.

Stuck the private plate on & some black VW badges.

Bought a few bits to tart her up.

Set about fitting them.

Done.

Then the shit hit the fan.

Repaired.

& thats about where I am now

Edited for the smart alec

What should I do next fella's??

Im not planning on keeping for too long so dont want to spend alot more....already stands me at about 7.5-8 k's to include buying it & what ive shelled out over the past 4 months

Was going to get the rest of the anni kit but id be looking at around £600 to buy non genuine parts & have them painted & fitted, can put that up to £1k for genuine parts. Kind of swaying away from that idea for the obvious reasons.

Can have windows tinted for £135 or remap to 175bhp for £200. I dont really need performance, im 90% of the time stuck in traffic doing 40mph Never had window tints in a car, just thought it might compliment the black theme

Suspension - does it sit ok or do I need to lower more?

Talk to me.

I wouldnt go for tints, never been a fan of window tints, and it looks low enough. Id remap it but as you said would it be worth it? Surely you not just ALWAYS sat at 40mph

Nice car though

Looks fine the way it is bodykit wise.

Never can get enough power, so for £200 that's a good gain!!

Suspension sits perfectly too. Just get it remapped, and enjoy

I put my name on a group buy for tints, meant to happen next month but im having doubts now, not sure if I can be earsed

I dont always sit at 40, just alot of the time. I quite happy with the performance tbh its got a good kick off it

Suspension - I thinks it could go down another couple mm at the back, that said ive nothing in the boot atm, no spare. Ive got a full size 18" spare RS4 rep waiting on a tyre to go in there, so extra few kg's may give it enough to bring the rear down a touch to where I want.

Should I just leave it?

Remap would increase bhp from 130 to 175bhp & torque from 229 to 280ftlb

Looks lush mate

Can I ask where you purchased the alloys from please? I currently looking for a set

Remaps make the 130PD a very dangerous wepon, the power seems to come in one short sharp wheelspinning burst. They pack a good punch anyway. IMO, go for the tints yo!

They dont if theyre done properly. For £200, yes thats what you would get, but if you get a good map, they will make the power and torque even over the rev range. Good companies like Revo, Custom Code, Jabba do this. IMO defo go for a map, although not a 200 quid one. You want to be looking at around £350+ for a good map that wont eat your clutch and tyres.
