hiya, right first of all the car in question is a mk1 punto.

but im wondering wether most cars share a sensor that turns the engine off in the event of a crash.

what is the sensor called please?

and how do i sort it out?

no, ive had a corsa b 1.2 8v and the punto is much better.

There could be a fuel cut off valve. Look in the manual for how to reset it...
