basically i want to get a clip of a video off youtube (sounds only) onto my mobile to use as an aleart tone ?

idea's ? that dont involve recording it

Why not recording, I have software that records whatever is playing through the speakers into .mp3 format. HiQ recorder I think it's called.

nah it gives you the whole thing, I usually cut it in movie maker
