well i say work, a tester
my mate stevie came down to mine today to see if his wheels could be saved or if they needed totally refurbed. the whiteish bits are the stuff where the lacquer is still there, which left shiney metal underneath, the black bits is caked on shit with corroded alloy underneath, wheels are such a state! done a wee bit and it came up well, going to do all the wheels soon.

and a video of what round our way is a famous noise. (might not be live for a few hours)

I've seen that down Crail If it's the one I'm thinking of, it sounds like it's talking in a funny voice when he changes gear?

they're meant to be polished lips obviously, but years of shit roads has chipped the lacquer, then water has attacked the alloy and well...fudged them. Gonna do the full set and re-lacquer them, better than sending them away for a refurb!

What is the wee dumping noise after the supercharger?

basically it runs off a belt like any other supercharger, but this one also has a clutch system with the pulley, so at idle and low revs the supercharger doesnt engage, so when you boot it, clutch engages, supercharger fires up, then when you lift off, clutch disengages, stopping the supercharger and it dumps the excess air back through the air filter, making the odd noise. simple, ish.

the air comes back out of the filter? sounds like an odd concept. like the principle though.
it sounds like a buzz gun stalling
good job on the bits of wheel you tried already. was that polish or paper?

the chatter you get off of turbo cars with the recirc valve blocked does the same, only on the turbo its the turbo blades stalling and chopping the air, giving the cha cha cha noise.
i started off with 320grit, then 600, then jumped to 2400 then 3600, then used aluminium polish of diff grades to bring up the shine. hard work but worth it.

Looks good that shop, tho needs the front to be as deep / agressive to match the rest of the car / kit.
