Got started on this today, this is nearly finished just need to fit the connections to the front....Hope to make a batch of these but want to test this out first on my own car, may need some fine tuning before i start on a batch but it'd nothing major id say..Gave it a quick primer today just to clean it up for pics

What have you made it out of? The inside looks to be slightly rusty, which makes me think it's done with Mild Steel?

you will need tubes between the bolt holes otherwise it will crush

Yes this is done in mild steel, i hope to do them in Aluminium or stainless eventually though....What's the problem with using mild steel anyway, once the throttle is on it should be air tight.

It's a minifold to direct air though!?! Over time the moisture in the air passing through it will turn the inside rusty, and it'll eventually start to flake off and get sucked into your head.

Thanks for that, as i said lads this was done in a day im open to suggestions no need to be smart about it...

At Rob, looks like id be better of going stainless or aluminium so...It'd be no problem anyway, i have the facilities

Go for aluminium mate, yes you can get it painted inside, but I personally wouldn't be convinced that either a) the inside is totally covered, or that b) it won't flake off over time, or be degraded by anything that may get into the inlet tract.

I know daz, just didn't understand your post.....May sound stupid lads but what about making them out of galvanise sheet?...Would keep the costs down, can still be painted and would not rust?.....It's an idea, want to get this right over the next week or two so all advice appreciated...

Cant see why not! Would only advise ali (iiiiii ) if your good with a welder. Otherwise SS is them way forward!

the galv would burn off near the welds, so still rust at the joins
