Wes Brown's Manchester United future is on a knife-edge after Alex Ferguson hit out at his contract demands. Brown, 28, wants £65,000 a week to sign a new deal but has been offered £10,000 less. He could leave on a free in the summer. Boss Fergie said: “We’ve given him his offer. It’s in his hands, not in ours. Players today live in their agents’ pockets. It’s a situation which depresses me at times. Wes has been with us since he was 12 but I don’t think that matters these days. Their agents live their lives for them — and if you are happy to go along with that then you get the situation you have just now.”
FFS, just accept the £55000!

Fact of the matter is he'll get his 65k at someone like West Ham or Newcastle who dish out exorbitant wages for a level of player under the top, top talents.
How do you expect the poor guy to fuel his Ferraris and Hummers on a pittance like 55k a week ffs

So don't believe the wage figures
Although you cannot believe the Mirror either, they said he wants 50k having been offered 40k,
Tbh, with regards to signing another right back, we would have to spend 10million at least. As everyone's value goes up when united is interested, so it would save a lot of money to just give him 50k, or 10k above his current offer whatever it is

wes is a decent player but not good enough to be considered a genuine first team right back, we need a better player, he is good to have as cover admittedly.

His performances this season have shown he is plenty good enough to be our first choice right-back.
