Got stopped last night and ordered to take off my headlights, which have "Illegal additional lamps in the front cluster", which is the angel eyes.
The headlights are E-marked, so are they in the wrong?
Same as these, but in black:

Im going to go down to the mot station tomorrow and see what they think.
I cant even turn the angel eyes off, they are on the whole time, not even that noticable when its on dipped/main beam.

Yea, but the police can order you to take off modification parts that they deem too noisy, dangerous, improper or unsafe even if they're e-marked.
Adam-D was warned bout his exhaust on his S13, even tho it was e-marked. The police are unfortunately badgers and can/will do what they want!

If the angel eyes are side lights i dont see a problem.
You'd need to know why the cops deem it not legal

they should do. as long as its a structural part of headlight and not separate, and emits white light, it will pass as a sidelight.

Indeed you are correct, my bad thier
code: When you turn your sidelights on in the car your Halos should light up, these act as your sidelights and will pass MOT if they are all working (All 4)

Have they not got 501 bulbs aswell? Most units i have sold in work have got 501's as well.
I know the the corsa ones have them where the indicator is on the outer edge.

police are idiots in general
they are perfectly legal for road use, go to mot station, get a print out showing they are fine, take it to police station, and done

That's what I thought. If e-marked stuff is still illegal you may aswell put non e-marked stuff on

yea most people use MHW's illegally too, but dont get pulled. As you're meant to have the reflectors on the car, and will have to in order to pass the MOT.
Its the coppers bein funny, like sum1 sed above. Take it to MOT place, and get a stamped/signed document sayin they are passable and ok for road use and take it to the station. The coppers at the station probs wont be arsed.
Just keep that document with you in the car after that!...then you can tell em to f'off if they stop you again!
