This is actually a serious LFC thread from me, for a change
Saw Gerrard's comments he made on SSN earlier this week. He said that 2nd place in the prem is poor enough but 4th is really not good enough. He also said that if LFC win the champions league then the season still won't be a successful one.
Do you think that Stevie G is trying to get the fans etc to turn on Rafa as tbh, thats the only thing that can come from his statement. Also Rafa issued a statamenet saying his backed Gerrard etc. IMO he's basically saying he backs him so the fans are still on his side.
Opinions?

I don't think that at all, him and carragher are always vocal about there dissapointment. I don't think it's a dig at the manager necessarily, he is basically just saying it aint good enough and he wants it to change. He said in it the interview he thought we had the squad this year but it isn't good enough to be off the pace by january, that's nothing to do with rotation that's the players if anything (including himself for a stage). I think he is just venting frustration, it's nice to see he's assed tbh

Steve Gerrard, Gerrard,
He kisses the badge on his chest
Then puts in a transfer request
Steve Gerrard, Gerrard
I know he said he didn't want to leave after he considered it last time, but if it stays the same, not competing for the league, could you see him moving on Tom?

Does he though?
Not questioning his passion for Liverpool but it all depends on how much he wants to win a domestic title, and if he feels he has a better chance elsewhere (not united, maybe not even England)
I know about the transfer request, just a little song about when his future was uncertain years ago

I know what the songs about, just telling you it's factually untrue
Nah he does, he's commited to liverpool fair enough he is really driven and hungry for success and fair enough if we don't get a hell of a lot closer next season he may be having thoughts but he knows not go there again now.

I know ronaldo will leave united at some point in his career, that was never in doubt
Gerrard could be in doubt, i think he'd stay if liverpool were competing for the league, but if they continue not to, he will move on imo

Ronaldo will go to Spain a lot sooner than Gerrard will go anywhere else...
